How Long Does It Take to Get Replies from Agents?

One of the most common questions we get is: "How long should I wait to hear back from an agent?"

Short Answer:

It really depends on the agent!

Some agents reply within minutes, others may take a few days or even a few weeks—and some may not respond at all.

What’s a Reasonable Timeframe to Wait?

Generally speaking:

If you haven’t heard anything after two weeks, it’s safe to assume the agent has likely moved on or isn’t currently interested.

Don’t be discouraged—agents receive a high volume of submissions, and silence doesn’t mean you’re not talented or worthy. Timing, rosters, and current needs all play a role.

What You Can Do Next

  • Keep submitting to other agencies—it’s a numbers game.
  • Stay consistent with your outreach and materials.
  • Update your links, credits, and reels regularly.

If you do want to try resending, it’s best to wait a few weeks or months to avoid spamming the same contacts.
