# Why do I need a Gmail account?

Repunzel sends submission emails directly through your own Gmail account — not through a Repunzel address. This means agents receive your email from you personally, can reply directly to you, and your submission looks like a direct, professional message rather than something sent through a third-party service.

**Why this matters**

Sending from your own account means:

-   Agents see your actual email address, not a "repunzel.com" address
-   Replies come straight back to you
-   Your emails are less likely to be filtered as spam
-   You stay in full control of the conversation

**Is my account safe?**

Yes. Repunzel only requests the permissions needed to send emails on your behalf. We don't access anything else in your account.
