How to send submissions from a non-Gmail address

Repunzel uses Gmail under the hood, but you can still send submissions from your Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, or custom domain address. Here's how to set it up.

Step 1 — Get a Gmail account You'll need a Gmail account to make this work. You can use an existing one or create a new one — it doesn't matter what the username is since you won't be sending from it.

Step 2 — Add your preferred email to Gmail

  • Open Gmail and click the gear icon ⚙️, then click "See all settings"
  • Go to the Accounts tab
  • Under "Check mail from other accounts", click "Add a mail account"
  • Enter your non-Gmail address and follow the prompts to connect it using Gmailify

Step 3 — Complete the Gmailify setup

  • Log into your non-Gmail account when prompted
  • Grant Gmail permission to access it
  • Complete any verification steps that come up

Step 4 — Verify the connection

  • Go back to the Accounts tab in Gmail settings
  • Make sure your non-Gmail address shows up under both "Check mail from other accounts" and "Send mail as"

Step 5 — Connect to Repunzel

  • Go to app.repunzel.com and log in using your non-Gmail account credentials
  • Send yourself a test email to confirm it's sending from your preferred address
