Sending a Test

A test email shows you exactly how your submission will appear once delivered.

How test emails work

When you click Send Test, the email is delivered to your own inbox using the same formatting and personalization logic that will be used for your contacts.

Why you should send one

A test helps you:

  • Catch formatting issues
  • Confirm links work
  • Review your tone
  • See how personalization appears

It's a quick step that can prevent mistakes.

What to check before sending

Before sending to your full list, confirm:

  • The subject line looks right
  • The greeting is correct — because the test goes to you, the agent first name placeholder fills in with your own first name. If you see your name in the greeting (e.g. "Hi Howard,"), the placeholder is working correctly.
  • Links open properly
  • Attachments are included
  • Your signature is accurate

If you are including your Actors Access or Casting Networks profiles, make sure you are using your external profile links. Both platforms also generate internal links that only work when you are logged in. If you paste an internal link, agents will not be able to view your profile.

Always test your links in a private or incognito browser window to confirm they work for someone who is not logged into your account.

Once everything looks good, you're ready to send.
